K59 Beach

K59 had been one of the most popular surf destination since years, it was named K59 because is located right at the kilometer 59 of the litoral road in La Libertad area, is one of the last spots in this area and that keep it away from the crowds, during years this area was a private gated comunity and it used to be just for residential owners but since a few years is open to everybody to be interested to surf a great wave. The access road is in bad shape making it more difficult to get there. The wave is an amazing classic very friendly wave, rocky bottom made it of a small river mouth, very consistence spot and unsurfeable with big swells, being in k59 make you stay and just check the surf from the hotel or surfcamp and surf everyday, is a perfect spot for travelers searching for a quiet and private area to surf perfect waves without people in the water most of the time. Two different surfcamps and hotels are available both with the best view of the waves, it take around 1 hour to get there from the international airport driving to the west by the litoral road with espectacular panoramic views of the ocean.
